Election Specialist Betty Brown Recognized for 40 Years of Local Government Work

Betty Brown was recently recognized for her longstanding service by both the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District (HPWD) and the Office of the Secretary of State. On October 14, the HPWD Board of Directors awarded Betty a resolution of congratulations and appreciation for her 40 years of service. On December 5, the Secretary of State presented her with a certificate of appreciation for sharing her knowledge and expertise at the agency’s 26th Annual Election Law Seminar.

Throughout her career, Betty has assisted local governments with elections, budgets, and other city clerk duties. Prior to joining Bickerstaff in 2001 as the firm’s Election Specialist, she served for 17 years as the Deputy City Clerk for the City of Austin, City Secretary and Treasurer for the City of Leander, and Accounting Clerk for the Lower Colorado River Authority. We greatly appreciate Betty’s service to our firm and her willingness to share her wealth of knowledge in assisting our elections team.
