Biography
Civil Litigation - Representation of governmental, commercial, and private clients, in civil litigation before all levels of State and Federal courts, including disputes relating to commercial transactions, contracts, real property, landlord/tenant relations, eminent domain and inverse condemnation, bankruptcy, water and wastewater service, tort claims, open government issues, removal of public officials, and other civil matters.

General Counsel Services - Representation of governmental clients regarding a variety of property, business, and open government issues.

Government Litigation Includes: defense of a city in suits concerning open government and public finance issues; defense of a county in suit concerning inverse condemnation claim; defense of a county in suit concerning liability for guardian fees; representation of a city in an eminent domain suit concerning the construction of a community center; representation of a governmental risk pool in an arbitration dispute concerning stop-loss insurance; representation of cities in suits concerning retail water service area disputes; representation of governmental entities in suits concerning fiber optic cable tort claims; defense of a city in a public security validation suit; representation of a county in suit for removal of a public official; representation of a city in suit to enjoin/abate floodway encroachment..

Government General Counsel Services Include: representation of a school district regarding settlement of construction dispute; representation of counties regarding the clarification of public interests in county roads; representation of cities regarding municipal prosecution and code enforcement issues; representation of cities and counties regarding land use restriction issues; representation of cities and counties regarding competitive bidding and procurement; representation of cities and counties regarding open government issues.

Commercial Entity and Private Client Representations Include: representation of landlords regarding collection, eviction, and bankruptcy litigation concerning commercial property; representation of a builder regarding DTPA claims; representation of individual in federal litigation concerning cable television access claims; representation of individuals in real property suit for special performance and damages.
