R. Michael Anderson practices in the areas of public utility law and administrative law. He assists clients in contested case proceedings, rulemakings and other matters before the Public Utility Commission of Texas, including ratemaking, electric transmission line certification, and territorial certification matters. He also has participated in and provided support for appeals of such proceedings as well as participation in matters before the Attorney General's Opinion Committee. He also gives compliance advice and counsels clients on regulatory implications and impacts of corporate and municipal activities. Michael's practice includes consultation with other counsel on state regulatory implications of other regulatory and complex litigation matters.

Since 1983, Michael Anderson has represented clients on a full-time basis in Public Utility Commission matters. These matters have primarily involved electric utility regulation, although recent matters also have included issues related to the Texas analysis of federal "Triennial Review" issues. These matters have involved teamwork with client representatives ranging from senior management to entry-level professionals and subject-matter experts.
